Disadvantages of Correspondence Degree MBA, MCA, B Ed

Correspondence Courses offering professional degrees like MBA, B Ed. , MCA have become a real menace in the state of Bihar. Universities especially those from South India, Chhatisgarh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh have been operating their shady business for more than a decade. As you are reading this article, it clearly means that you have doubts about the merit of getting professional degree through correspondence education. I am just going to ratify your doubts into absolute confirmation.
First of all get rid of any notion that your correspondence degree is comparable with full time degree as many blue chip organizations specially TCS, NTPC, SBI etc. do mention that those who have done their professional degree (MBA, MCA etc.) from distance education are not eligible to apply against their recruitment notifications. Similarly, almost all the top schools clearly instruct that they do not hire teachers who got their B Ed. through distance education. The only advantage that you get through correspondence or distant learning is ease of learning and less price of education. However, believe me your correspondence education can be handy only if you go for the typical BPO job, otherwise no one cares.
